List of prohibited goods and services

The list will be continuously updated and revised. It serves as a supplement of the general terms and conditions of business and raises no claim to completeness. The decision whether a violation of the ban on certain goods and / or services exists rests solely with the operator.

 

The offering of the following goods, tickets or services is prohibited:

  1. Goods or tickets that violate the rights of third parties (in particular, copyright, patent or trademark rights, proprietary or privacy rights), such as counterfeits or replicas of products or tickets, as well as photographs, drawings, images, image animations with or without sound, audio recordings, texts, templates, forms and software that are offered and violate copyright rights, or data relating to persons, organisations or businesses that is protected by privacy laws or data protection agreements;
  2. Goods that do not correspond to the legal provisions or to other provisions that have to be respected regarding content, product composition, product ingredients, minimum or maximum weight, product use, product function, product technology, product safety, product hygiene or other criteria;
  3. Goods that do not correspond to the legal provisions or to other provisions that have to be respected regarding labelling requirements or certification requirements, for instance, with regard to the indications of weight, indications of content, identity of the manufacturer, product approval, product composition, product ingredients, product use, product function, product durability, safety instructions or warnings, disposal information, seals of approval or other prescribed labellings or certifications;
  4. Goods or services that have got a sexual content, a sexual purpose or an appearance, figure or description that is sexually appealing, however, with the exception of historical, artistic, handcrafted or skilled manual works;
  5. Weapons, essential components of weapons or ammunition according to the German Gun Control Act (Waffengesetz, WaffG), weapons of war and ammunition of weapons of war according to the German War Weapons Control Act (Kriegswaffenkontrollgesetz, KWKG), gun accessories, replica arms, decorative weapons or goods relevant to defence that are subject to trade restrictions by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations - ITAR of the United States of America;
  6. Explosives and equivalent substances according to the German Explosives Act (Sprengstoffgesetz, SprengG), explosive substances, radioactive substances, toxic substances, substances hazardous to health or to the environment, waste and pyrotechnic products;
  7. drugs and narcotics according to the German Narcotics Act (Betäubungsmittelgesetz, BtMG), other mind-altering substances, drug paraphernalia or instructions for the manufacture of drugs;
  8. pharmaceuticals, other pharmacy-only products, growth-stimulating substances or hormone preparations, medical or veterinary services or vouchers related to them;
  9. medical equipment or medical devices, however, with the exception of historical medical devices or medical products whose passing can neither be hazardous to health nor to the environment;
  10. tobacco goods of all kinds including electronic cigarettes. By contrast, pipes, tobacco tins, tobacco pouches, cigarette cases, ashtrays, humidors and the like that represent collectibles or historical objects remain unaffected;
  11. all types of media or objects that contain or constitute business secrets, official secrets or state secrets, contain other security sensitive, confidential or protected information or data, or, besides that, provide access to this information or data, as well as all types of decoding tools, decryption tools, decryption materials or crack software;
  12. official documents, records, certificates, identity documents or licenses as well as their imitations or counterfeits as far as they are not clearly identifiable as historic and invalid objects;
  13. civil or official uniforms or parts of uniforms that are topical today or have been topical within the last 10 years as well as their imitations or counterfeits;
  14. pieces of equipment, badges, identification cards, documents or other objects that are used by members of security related areas as well as their imitations or counterfeits as far as they are not clearly identifiable as historic objects;
  15. vehicles, aircraft or watercraft that contain national emblems or official signs or signs that imitate national emblems or official signs as far as they are not clearly identifiable as historic objects;
  16. securities, official means of payment in the form of banknotes or coins, bonds or corresponding certificates as far as they are no historic objects or collectibles;
  17. media that is provided with costs on the internet or that is downloadable or able to be despatched on the internet with costs, such as e-books;
  18. non-transferable, already invalid or already partly used tickets, entrance tickets, train tickets and bus tickets or vouchers;
  19. services that are illegal, sexually oriented, inhuman, anti-competitive, fraudulent or offensive or that violate third-party rights (especially property rights or privacy rights);
  20. offering of properties, rights equivalent to real property, business premises or residential properties within the meaning of section 34 c of the German Trade Regulation Act (Gewerbeordnung, GewO) aimed at the conclusion of a legally effective purchase contract or rental contract;
  21. goods or services that violate trade restrictions of the European Union, the United States of America or the United Nations;
  22. all types and forms of gambling;
  23. goods or services that advertise a political, ideological or religious perspective, discredit other political, ideological or religious perspectives or discriminate against, prefer or insult people in terms of their political conviction, religion, confession, world view, gender, race, origin, skin colour, language or other individual characteristics;
  24. goods that downplay, glorify or promote (propaganda materials) directly or indirectly Nazi, Communist, dictatorial, extremist, anti-democratic or anti-constitutional ideologies or are contrary to statutory prohibitions of badges, icons or content;
  25. media or overprints on clothing having contents that contain propaganda, glorify violence, glorify war, are inhuman or demagogic, for example, books, magazines, pictures, stickers, leaflets, posters, overprints on T-shirts, patches of baseball caps, records, audio cassettes, video cassettes, DVDs or CDs;
  26. media with contents liable to corrupt the young, such as books, magazines, pictures, posters, records, audio cassettes, video cassettes, DVDs or CDs;
  27. media or overprints on clothing that advertise the membership of an political organisation or party, for instance, stickers, leaflets, posters, overprints on T-shirts, or patches of baseball caps;
  28. catalogues, brochures, electronic media or other media that promote other companies or organisations or the products of other companies or that enable a direct order, have links to internet pages or to electronic marketplaces, contain purchase information or lists of manufacturers, distributors, suppliers or potential sales partners or reflect other forms of advertising campaigns and marketing operations. Historical shop signs, advertising panels, catalogues and brochures are excluded;
  29. electronic or non-electronic media and documents with list-like information of companies, organisations or consumers, in particular, in the form of business directories, mailing lists or address lists, as well as all kinds of software and electronic devices that are capable of sending e-mails, promotional faxes or telemarketing calls in an automated way and in masses;
  30. humans, human bodies or parts of human bodies, in particular, organs, vessels, other soft tissue, bones, skulls, blood, other body fluids, excretions, cells, reproductive cells or mortal remains of humans, however, with the exception of products that contain human hair;
  31. live animals offered for sale, animal bodies or parts of animal bodies, in particular, organs, vessels, other soft tissue, bones, skulls, blood, other body fluids, excretions, cells, reproductive cells or mortal remains of animals, however, with the exception of products that have got to be considered as processed animal foods, as legally permissible animal preparations or as a legally permissible use of animal parts in the manufacturing of clothing, jewellery, furniture or musical instruments;
  32. animals, plants, fungi as well as their respective parts that are readily recognisable or, furthermore, products that are readily recognisable as having been made from them, whose provision for sale or offering for sale contravenes the provisions of the German Federal Nature Conservation Act (Bundesnaturschutzgesetz, BNatschG), of the German Federal Species Protection Regulations (Bundesartenschutzverordnung; BArtSchV) or of international conventions on species protection (in particular, of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (the Washington Convention, CITES) for generally protected, especially protected or strictly protected species of animals, plants or fungi as well as for their respective parts that are readily recognisable or, on top of that, for products that are readily recognisable as having been made from them;
  33. live plants, living parts of plants, including fruits and seeds, as well as plant products according to the German Plant Protection Act (Pflanzenschutzgesetz, PflSchG) that contravene phytosanitary regulations of the European Union, of the German Plant Protection Act (Pflanzenschutzgesetz, PflSchG) or regulations of the delegated legislation based on them;
  34. products that consist wholly or partly of fur or skins of dogs, cats or guinea pigs;
  35. legally prohibited animal traps, all kinds of death traps, poison baits or pesticides;
  36. goods or services whose offering and / or purchase contravenes provisions of national laws for the protection of monuments or cultural heritage and / or international agreements on the protection of monuments or cultural heritage;
  37. goods that represent particularly threatened cultural assets according to the red lists of the International Council of Museums (ICOM);
  38. archaeological finds without proof of origin, which is evidence for the compliance with legal provisions and provisions of the delegated legislation as well as for the rightful ownership, however, with the exception of legally acquired coins that are parts of old collections.
